Lufthansa appoints VP sales for Europe
Lufthansa has appointed Heike Birlenbach as VP sales and services Europe.
Starting on March 1, she will be based in Frankfurt and will report directly to Jens Bischof, chief commercial officer and member of the Lufthansa German Airlines Board.
Her remit will cover sales, marketing and airport operations.
Birlenbach joined the airline in 1990 and is currently Lufthansa head of cabin management Munich.
In the late 1990s she did a stint in London as GM marketing and sales support Europe.
