The Lufthansa Group inaugurated on November 25, 2025, its extensively modernized Premium Check-in Area in Terminal 1, Hall A, at Frankfurt Airport.

This elegant space offers First Class passengers, HON Circle members, Senators, and Star Alliance Gold status customers a noticeably new level of comfort and efficiency.

Francesco Sciortino, Hub Manager Frankfurt & Accountable Manager Lufthansa Airlines, stated: “Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. With the new Premium Check-in Area, we have created a space for our guests that combines comfort, efficiency, and personalized service at the highest level. The reopening marks a milestone in the collaboration between Lufthansa and Fraport. Together, we are creating infrastructure that meets the highest standards and makes the stay at Frankfurt Airport even more pleasant for our guests.

The new Lufthansa product shows how cooperation based on partnership can produce innovative solutions,” emphasizes Stephanie Pudwitz, Head of Central Infrastructure Management at Fraport AG. “In creating the new premium check-in area, we took the wishes of Lufthansa fully into account. Together, we are setting standards for comfort and service for the benefit of our guests at Frankfurt Airport.

What does the revamped Premium Check-in Area bring to users?

One standout feature of the new Premium Check-in Area is a spaciously designed section with changing rooms, enabling quick outfit changes or convenient repacking before departure. This fulfills a frequently expressed customer wish. Stylish high tables with charging stations and comfortable seating create a calm atmosphere, ideal for a relaxed meeting before departure.

Additionally, there is separate access directly from Parking Lot P31, located adjacent to the terminal.

Lufthansa staff are available at the new service bars to address individual needs. Furthermore, staff assist at exclusive baggage machines to ensure smooth and convenient baggage drop-off. The new Premium Area combines modern design, personalized service, and practical extras such as a separate waiting area and changing rooms, making the stay for Lufthansa Group Airlines guests at Frankfurt Airport even more enjoyable and flexible.

In addition to the Premium Check-in Area, status customers and Business Class passengers can now once again access the Lufthansa Business Lounge at Gate A13. Following a brief renovation period, the lounge integrates into the comprehensive service offering and provides diverse opportunities for relaxation, work, and flight preparation.
