Luton gets new flight to Turkey
SunExpress, part of Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa, is to fly from Luton to Izmir twice a week from July next year.
As Turkey’s third largest city, the route is popular with business travellers but it is also close to resorts of Kusadasi, Cesme, Alacati and Altinkum.
Flights, which will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays, will start on July 11 and are already on sale.
SunExpress sales & marketing manager, Manuel Schürholz said: "With London as a new destination, SunExpress continues its growth path in Europe connecting important metropolitan areas with Izmir, our hub in Turkey.
"We are very happy to have London Luton as a new partner to continue expanding our network as a holiday carrier."
