Luxury at $1,450 a night
A new luxury resort two hours north of Manhattan on a 4,000-acre sanctuary in Connecticut’s Litchfield Hills is the site for one of the most unusual private resorts in the country.
When it opens later this year, Winvian will attract both individual guests and meeting-goers.
The resort will offer guests a 5,000 square foot spa that has wood-burning fireplaces. On property activities will include tree climbing lessons, snow shoeing and cross country skiing, Other activities include skeet shooting and fly-fishing,.
Rates start at $1,450 but include all meals, spa snacks, afternoon tea, cocktails and an open wine collar.
The entire property can be rented for $32,000 a night.
Winvian will have a boardroom in the renovated Seth Bath House, which dates back to 1775. The Gordon Brown House will also be the backdrop for special events and meetings.
