Monday, 15 Dec, 2017 0

Luxury resort brand Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas is making its first foray into the Americas.

The brand will debut in Brazil with the launch of Anantara Marau Bahia Resort in mid-2018.

It is talking shape during a R$4 million renovation on the site of the former Kiaroa Eco-Luxury Resort and is slated to open in July 2018.

Located right on the Atlantic coastline in Bahia, the resort will initially open with a choice of 30 guest rooms, suites and bungalows, and will be expanded with more suites and bungalows including units with private pools.

The five-star resort will feature an expansive swimming pool, a signature Anantara Spa, a restaurant, casual pool bar and private dining.

"We are really thrilled to be announcing our first Anantara in South America in Bahia, Brazil. The boutique 30-room resort will be the perfect addition to the luxury Anantara portfolio and represents Anantara’s first footprint over the Atlantic Ocean as the first property in the Americas,: said Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of Anantara’s Thailand based parent Minor Hotels.

"We are excited to see this property launch in mid-2018 and bring the brand’s authentic luxury to Brazil."

Anantara currently operates 39 hotels and resorts across Asia, Africa, the Middle and Europe, and apart from Brazil will open resorts in China, Tunisia and Vietnam during 2018.
