Luxury India operator launches Australian brochure
Boutique luxury travel operator Peirce & Leslie is delivering a dedicated Australian brochure “Circle of Life – Journey through India†to travel agents this month.
The brochure featuring six Peirce & Leslie specialty tours is available through Momento Travel Services.
Peirce & Leslie general manager Anitha Pottamkulam said there are “multiple reasons†for promoting to the Australian market at this time.
“The Australian economy is strong, the Australian dollar is strong and it’s clear to us that agents are diversifying their portfolios in response to consumers who are asking, ‘where do I go next?’.
“Also, after the Mumbai (terrorist) incident, we felt we should give it a bit of time before launching our specialty tours in Australia.â€
Samples of itineraries include Peirce & Leslie’s 12–day tour, “A Royal Romanceâ€, travelling through Delhi, Agra and Rajasthan.
The tour starts with a walk in the back streets of Old Delhi guided by a former street child and features palaces “behind the curtains†exploring chambers and boudoirs reserved for the royals of residence.
Peirce & Leslie also offers a range of customised thematic itineraries featuring wildlife, culinary, textiles, craft and sport, including an experience around the Pushkar Camel Fair in Rajasthan.
