Luxury shows double up in Sydney
Two media releases received by The Mole with hours of each other indicate a conflict between organisers of luxury travel shows.
According to a release by Grebstad Hicks Communications in Singapore, "on behalf of Luxperience":
"Rosemarie Sama, award-winning former event director of AIME and founder of Luxperience today announced that her event returns in 2013 with a new format and a new name."
That name, the PR release went on, "is Luxe Events + Travel Experiences (LETE) be held from September 2-4, 2013 at Sydney’s Overseas Passengers Terminal."
Then, this from a PR company, Klick Communications, representing Luxperience Enterprises: "Organisers of the Luxperience travel show have appointed Helen Logas as its new CEO, effective immediately.
"Former Luxperience CEO, Rosemarie Sama, is no longer with the company."
And the date and venue of next year’s Luxperience?
September 2-4 at the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Sydney Harbour.
Florence Sandford, of Klick Communications in Sydney, said LETE is "a separate event" from Luxperience.
New CEO Logas said Luxperience would "maintain the intimacy of a growing community that is committed to high quality and inspirational travel experiences".
Sama said of LETE, "In a bold new move, there will be no exhibition booths, only comfortable lounge-style meetings areas and a fixed pricing system to ensure a level playing field for participation and an affordable entry price point."
We can’t wait.
