Make a Clean Sweep with P&O Cruises’ “Clear the Decks” sale
The festive season’s end always marks the best time to snare a great bargain and cruising is no exception, with P&O Cruises offering some of its best ever deals in one of its biggest sales of the year.
The massive “Clear the Decks” sale features discounts of up to 50 per cent on cruises sailing between now and April 2007 on Australia’s favourite local cruise ships, Pacific Sun and Pacific Star.
Get in early to secure a bargain on a cruise and plan your next holiday to tropical north Queensland or the idyllic South Pacific, with thousands of cruise holidays on sale until the decks are cleared on February 28, 2006.
Some of the steals available include:
- $444 per person for a stunning three-night short break ‘cruise to nowhere’ off the coast of Queensland, departing Brisbane March 8, 2006 or February 21, 2007*
- $1122 per person for a 10-night cruise to New Caledonia, Vanuatu and the Loyalty Islands on Pacific Sun, departing Sydney on February 18, 2006, September 7, 2006 or February 19, 2007
- * $955 per person for a seven-night cruise to tropical north Queensland, including Port Douglas, Cairns and the Whitsundays, with nine departures until April 2007*.
These fares, which include all main meals, entertainment and activities, are available for all new bookings made before February 28, 2006. Conditions apply and fares are subject to availability.
P&O Cruises’ newest liner, the 35,000-ton, 1400-passenger Pacific Star, is based in Brisbane and features four dining venues, alternative dining in the steakhouse, three swimming pools, four kids clubs – including a dedicated teen centre – a Lotus spa sanctuary and a choice of queen or twin bed configurations in most cabins.
The 47,000-ton Pacific Sun sails from Sydney and can accommodate 1900 passengers with queen-size or twin beds, a child-free sunbathing deck, oyster, sushi and antipasto bar, a twisting two-storey water slide, two jacuzzis, nine bars and lounges, five restaurants and cafes, art auctions and multiple kids clubs.
