MakeMyTrip teams up with Meru Cabs for ‘sanitised’ airport rides
India’s largest online travel platform MakeMyTrip has tapped ride-hailing firm Meru Cabs for ‘safe and sanitised’ pickups for air travellers.
The companies teamed up to integrate airport pickups provided by Meru into the flight-booking window on MakeMyTrip.
It is being touted as an end-to-end contactless journey.
The Meru Cabs service has been upgraded for a post Covid-19 world with air-protect barrier sheets installed between the rider and the driver and hand sanitizer in the cab.
All drivers will have their temperature checked on arrival at the airport before picking up booked passengers.
"With this partnership, Meru compliments MakeMyTrip by providing safe and sanitised cab services," said Sandeep Dongre, COO, at Meru Mobility Tech.
The service is available at all major airports.
Parikshit Chaudhary, chief business officer of ground transport at MakeMyTrip said: "The partnership will help us provide a seamless and safe experience and takes one big worry away for our users who are flying, by helping them pre-book their airport transfers.
