Malaysia Aviation Group announces new CEO for Firefly
Malaysia Aviation Group has announced Philip See as the new CEO of regional carrier Firefly.
He replaces Ignatius Ong who joined parent Malaysia Airlines as group chief revenue officer earlier this year.
See has been serving as head of strategy and network for Malaysia Airlines and officially takes over at Firefly on January 1, 2019.
See first joined MAS in 2004 overseeing its business turnaround plan and rejoined the airline in 2015 after five years with consulting firm McKinsey.
"See understands the complexities of the business and will bring to Firefly a wide breath of knowledge," Malaysia Aviation Group said in a release.
It was just one of several recent leadership changes which have already taken effect.
Ibrahim Mohamed Salleh became CEO of MABKargo and Hazman Hilmi Sallahuddin became CEO of Project Amal.
"I am confident that the new leadership will bring new energy and purpose to the business," said Malaysia Aviation Group CEO Izham Ismail.
