Malaysia going into ‘total lockdown’
Malaysia is going into full lockdown mode. The two-week shutdown is being called a ‘total lockdown’ by the government. Only core services such as healthcare, banking, essential manufacturing and energy will be allowed to continue operating.
Only two people from a household will be allowed to go out to buy essentials supplies locally. It is effective from 1-14 June. Infections have continued surging, with a record 9,000 new cases on Saturday and 7,000 on Sunday. There are now more than 560,000 cases nationwide.
