A man, believed to be English and in his 30s, has been arrested after walking into Heathrow Terminal 5 and threatening to blow it up.
T5 was closed temporarily yesterday afternoon when the man caused a stand-off with armed police.
Hundreds of travellers were ushered out of the terminal at around 12.50pm, but the terminal was re-opened after the man was taken into custody.
A spokesman for Heathrow operator BAA said: "The police incident that caused the partial evacuation of Terminal 5 has been stood down. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused to passengers while police attended this incident."
