Salzburg has been added as a new route from Manchester Airport by low fares airline Jet2.com as capacity increases by 27%.
The city becomes the tenth new service to be introduced from the North West hub this year as the airline marks its fifth anniversary of operations from the airport.
Two additional aircraft are being based in Manchester to handle the expansion which includes flights to Venice, Prague, Dubrovnik, Madeira, Reus, Kos, Tunisia, Split, Gran Canaria and Salzburg.
Fares start at £29.99 one way including taxes.
The airline expects to carry one million passengers from Manchester this year and claims to be the airport’s largest leisure low fare airline.
