Marcus Hotels introduces on-site Tesla charging stations
Hospitality management firm Marcus Hotels & Resorts announced it has installed Tesla High Power Charging Stations at more than two-thirds of its owned and managed properties in the US.
The charging stations offer a fast charging option for Tesla Model S electric car owners and provides more than twice the power of normal charging stations.
With Marcus hotels sited nationwide in 10 states, Tesla owners can travel virtually coast-to-coast using only the hotels’ charging stations, according to Brian Burton, vice president, revenue generation for Marcus Hotels.
"Owners driving all day can stop at one of our hotels to recharge overnight and be on their way again in the morning," Burton said
There are currently 13 properties with charging stations already installed, including Crowne Plaza-Northstar, Minneapolis, Hilton Milwaukee City Center, The Garland in North Hollywood, Westin Atlanta, and Grand Geneva Resort & Spa.
More installations are planned at the remaining properties in the coming months.
