Marriott adding three luxury Vietnam resorts
Marriott International has outlined expansion plans in Southeast Asia with three new luxury Vietnam resorts.
The trio of signings include the debut of two new brands into Vietnam – Ritz-Carlton Reserve and The Luxury Collection on the island of Hon Thom in Phu Quoc.
Also, Vietnam’s third JW Marriott Hotel is set to take shape in Trang An, a UNESCO World Heritage destination in northern Vietnam.

“Vietnam is a growing market for luxury travel, with rising demand from both international and domestic sectors.”
JW Marriott Trang An Resort & Spa is set to open in 2028.
Nestled in wetlands and verdant hills, it will feature 150 rooms and suites, plus a collection of 35 one- and two-bedroom villas, with options for private pools.
Plans for the Vietnam resort include two restaurants, a café, lobby lounge and two bars.
Leisure facilities will include two pool zones, a signature spa a fitness centre, kids’ club and recreational activity centre.
The hotel will also house 850-square meters of event space, including a ballroom.
The Luxury Collection Resort, Hon Thom Island is slated to open in 2029.
It is set to feature 305 rooms and suites, two pool areas, a kids’ club, activity centre, fitness centre and a spa.
There are plans for six restaurants and bars.
Anticipated to open in 2028 and designed by Bill Bensley, Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Hon Thom Island will offer 40 pool villas situated on an intimate estate.
This luxury Vietnam resort will have two resort pools, a spa, salon, fitness centre, three restaurants and more.
These signings add to Marriott’s pipeline in Vietnam, numbering over 50 properties.
