Marriott signs St Regis luxury hotel in Chicago
Marriott International will introduce the luxury St. Regis brand to downtown Chicago.
It inked an agreement with Magellan Development Group for a 191 key hotel including 33 suites, as well as a branded residence complex with 393 units.
Located in Lakeshore East, it is housed in the development under construction formerly earmarked as the Wanda Vista Hotel and Vista Tower.
The hotel is slated to open in summer 2021.
"We are pleased Magellan Development Group has chosen to introduce the St. Regis brand to this vibrant community in the heart of Chicago," said Timothy Grisius, Marriott’s Global Real Estate Officer.
The St. Regis Chicago will be housed across three towers with views over the Chicago River and Lake Michigan.
It will feature multiple dining venues, meeting and event space including a 5,000 square feet ballroom, a fitness center, full-service spa, and swimming pool.
The St. Regis brand is currently operating in 45 locations globally, and can trace its roots back to New York City more than a century ago.
