MAS in transpacific price-fixing probe
KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia Airlines, along with 11 other airlines, have been served with complaints that they fixed prices on transpacific passenger fares and related surcharges.
MAS, in a brief statement to the Malaysian stock exchange, said the alleged complaint was filed on March 26 in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
The national carrier said that at this juncture, no infringement has been established.
“The recently served complaint does not make any mention of the quantum of damages sought against MAS,†Malaysia Airlines said.
MAS said it was currently taking legal advice in relation to the complaint.
