Matt Giteau goes to Sonaisali Island Resort Fiji for his holidays and now so can you!
Matt Giteau who plays Inside Centre, Fly-half and Halfback for the Australian Wallabies Rugby Union Team, the Canberra Brumbies and in 2007 with Perth’s Western Force, recently visited Sonaisali Island Resort Fiji during a personal holiday.
With a history of rugby in the family, Matt is the son of former Canberra Raiders Captain Ron Giteau and played in the first Test against South Africa in Brisbane, in which the Wallabies won 49 to nil. Matt scored 2 tries and went on to earn the Suncorp Try of the Year award at the John Eales Medal Dinner.
Rugby is huge in Fiji, so the Fijian Staff at Sonaisali were extremely excited to meet the Australian Rugby Star on Saturday 9th December 06 and the many photos taken will surely become treasured keepsakes – Matt’s visit certainly was a highlight.
Matt enjoyed lunch at the Sunset Terrace Restaurant, the Resort’s 1 hr horse riding expedition and had fun on the jet skis around the island and Matt said “I had a great time in Fiji and the jet skis at Sonaisali fly!!”
He added, “The people are so friendly and the food was delicious”.
4 ½ Star Sonaisali Island Resort is a true island escape, a small green dot in the beautiful South Pacific Ocean – yet the world you’ve left behind is only a 3 minute boat ride across the lagoon from the main island and 25mins drive from Nadi International Airport.
