McKenna hypnotises Virgin customers
Virgin Holidays and hypnotist Paul McKenna have launched the world’s first ‘holiday hypnosis service’, giving customers the chance to get ‘that holiday feeling’ in just a 20-minute lunch break.
McKenna delivered bespoke one-on-one holiday hypnosis sessions in a ‘hypno-pod’ at House of Fraser Bluewater for two days earlier this week.
The hypnotherapist and self-improvement coach put shoppers and workers ‘under his spell’ to try to leave them ‘as refreshed an revitalised as they do after a two-week break’.
Virgin Holidays launched the experience on Monday, the day most of the nation returned to work after the Christmas break.
McKenna claimed his 20-minute sessions, carried out on Monday and Tuesday only, were as restorative as a holiday "This is a truly pioneering experience and I’m so excited to be working with Virgin Holidays to help lift the nation’s post-Christmas blues," said McKenna, speaking before the launch.
"Together we’re going to help the great British public feel like they’ve been relaxing with loved ones in their dream holiday destination despite the freezing temperatures outside.
"We’ll simulate the feeling you get when the brain releases endorphins, the natural feel-good hormones often associated with a holiday. It’s really a very exciting proposition."
