Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament Extends “Kids Free” Promotion to Include Teens Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament today announced that due to an overwhelming response, North America’s most popular dinner attraction is extending its first nationwide “Kids Free” promotion to Labor Day 2008. The promotion is also being expanded to become “Kids & Teens Free” for children and teens 18 and under.

Created to celebrate Medieval Times’ 25th Anniversary, the summer promotion encompasses the company’s nine North American Castles**. The children and teen offer can equate to a savings of more than $50 per ticket in some markets. Originally launched to run May 23 through July 6, the “Kids & Teens Free” promotion is now available for any performance through Sept. 1, 2008.

Each “free kid” and “free teen” must be accompanied by one full-paying adult. Performance times and tickets are available at the company’s re-launched Web site, www.medievaltimes.com, or by calling 1-888-WE-JOUST (888-935-6878).

The promotion is part of the company’s year-long 25th anniversary celebration and timed to coincide with the launch of Medieval Times’ first new live production in five years, which is debuting across their castles through the spring and summer months.

“Audiences enthusiastically responded to our ‘Kids Free’ promotion to celebrate the 25th anniversary of our family friendly attraction, so we decided to continue the special promotion for the rest of the summer,” said Kenneth Kim, president and CEO of Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament. “Whether our guests are on vacation near or castles, or they are planning a trip on a tank-full getaway, we want to take everyone back to the 11th century.”

At Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament, guests experience an evening of quality, family entertainment (including live jousting, sword fights, equestrian skill and falconry) inspired by 11th century history. Guests are taken back in time and encouraged to cheer for one of six “Knights of the Realm,” named after historic regions of medieval Spain, while feasting – by hand – on a four-course banquet served in true medieval, pre-silverware fashion.

Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament launched in Majorca, Spain, in 1973, and opened its first North American Castle in Kissimmee, Fla., in 1983. Now regarded as North America’s longest running and most popular dinner attraction, more than 40 million guests have experienced Medieval Times at Castles in Buena Park, Calif., Lyndhurst, N.J., Schaumburg, Ill., Dallas, Toronto, Myrtle Beach, S.C., Hanover, Md., and Atlanta. In 2007, the company moved its North American headquarters to Irving, Texas, close to the company’s Chapel Creek Ranch in Sanger, Texas. Medieval Times is online at www.medievaltimes.com and reachable at 1-888-WE-JOUST (888-935-6878).
