Meeting planners reconsider all-inclusive concept
So why is an all-inclusive meeting destination great for “corporate bean counters?”
“It’s a predictable expenses. So much is built into the price that they can know in advance what the whole thing will cost,” argues Michael Schron, rejecting conventional wisdom.
Mr Schron is a meeting planner with Robert P. Schron Associates who argues the all-inclusive resorts found throughout the Caribbean and Mexican coasts that have been popular with leisure travelers are starting to get popular with meeting planners as well
Planners can take advantage of “down times” during seasons when prices are lower, he told Successful Meetings.
Various perks and upgrades are also possible to lure meetings.
In addition, some destinations are places attractive to meeting-goers because they have not been there before.
