Melia brand Innside checking in to KL
Spain based hotel group Melia Hotels International has inked an agreement for a new Malaysia hotel.
Innside Kuala Lumpur Cheras will become the group’s fifth Malaysian property after the Melia Kuala Lumpur and an additional three hotels currently in development.
It is slated to open in late 2019 and forms part of an integrated development project which includes a four-storey shopping mall and office suites.
"I’m confident the market will respond well to this brand," said Bernardo Cabot, regional VP of Melia Asia Pacific, who says Malaysia is a key development market.
It will have 238 rooms set across 13 floors with a swimming pool, a rooftop executive lounge, a fitness centre and meeting space.
Melia Hotels International currently operates 19 hotels in the Asia Pacific region with a further 33 scheduled to open by 2022.
