Mexico Tourism names director general
Oscar Fitch Gomez has been appointed director general of the Mexico Tourism Board.
Originally from Tijuana, Baja California, he will take overall responsibility for the promotion of Mexico in domestic and international markets.
Mexico’s Minister of Tourism Rodolfo Elizondo Torres said: “Oscar Fitch Gómez is a heavyweight marketer with a proven track record and his expertise will drive forward ‘brand Mexico’ on local and global levels.”
Gomez previously held executive positions at one of Mexico’s leading brewers, founded Fitch and Associates lobbying consultancy, and was President of Mexico’s Business Advisory and Co-ordination Board for over 12 years.
