Saturday, 04 Apr, 2016 0
More debris thought to be from missing airliner MH370 has been discovered at Rodriguez Island, near Mauritius, and could be the first fragment found that comes from inside the cabin.

Tourists Jean Dominique and Suzy Vitry spotted the debris on a beach and MH370 Independent Group expert Don Thompson says based on photos, the debris looks like  the bulkhead from inside the cabin.

"The Malaysian Government is working with officials from Mauritius to seek to take custody of the debris and arrange for its examination," said Australian minister for infrastructure and transport Darren Chester.

"This debris is an item of interest however until the debris has been examined by experts it is not possible to ascertain its origin."

It follows the discovery of two pieces of wreckage in Mozambique which are ‘almost cetainly’ from the doomed aircraft, authorities said.

MH370 disappeared more than two years ago after taking off from Kuala Lumpur for Beijing.

It was carrying 239 passengers and crew.
