Michael Douglas supports Mallorca campaign
American actor Michael Douglas is lobbying UNESCO to list the Serra de Tramuntana mountain chain in Mallorca as a World Heritage Site to protect the area’s natural, ecological and historical value.
Douglas has added his signature to a petition that has already gained the support of 11,500 Mallorcan residents. The campaign has also collected 8,600 signatures on the social networking site Facebook.
Douglas, whose first wife was from Mallorca, has had a house in Mallorca’s mountain village of Valldemossa for more than 20 years.
