Mississippi River cruise line adds four-day option
Citing the growing popularity of Mississippi River cruising, American Cruise Lines is adding shorter cruises to the Queen of the Mississippi‘s 2013 schedule.
The new four-night cruises will highlight the various plantations along the river.
The cruises will depart November 30, and December 4 and 8, with rates starting at $2,395 per person.
The cruises will feature a variety of special events and onboard activities, including mint juleps; performances by Judy Davis, singer and storyteller of life on a plantation; cooking demonstrations by a Louisiana Culinary Institute chef; and performances by the New Orleans Jazz All Stars.
The Queen of the Mississippi is an authentic paddlewheeler that carries 150 guests in 300 square-foot staterooms, with large private balconies.
