More planners considering all-inclusive

Saturday, 28 Mar, 2011 0

Meeting planners in the past tended to avoid all-inclusives and stereotyped them as budget-minded but new amenities are changing minds.

These amenities include fine dining, 24-hour butlers and high-class meeting facilities.

Almost one third of respondents to the 2011 Incentive Trends survey planned to “change to an all-inclusive pricing option this year.”

“Planners are starting to take notice,” reported Meetings & Conventions magazine.

Examples include properties on the Riviera Maya such as Zoetry Paradiso de la Bonita, which has 90 oceanfront suites, as well as programs in cooking classes, yoga, Spanish instruction and others.

Also in Riviera Maya is Grand Velas Riviera Maya which has 491 suites with amenities that include 42-inch plasma-screen TVs and 24-hour room service as well as personal butler service.

Guests at some other resorts also find such upscale amenities as free spas. La Source in Grenada give guests one spa treatment a day for each day they stay there, with the exception of arrival and departures.
