More snow could threaten half term travel
Passengers are urged to keep an eye on weather conditions as forecasters predicted more snow ahead of the half term holidays.
A spokesman for airport operator, BAA said that it was still working with forecasters on what measures to take but advised passengers to contact their airlines before travel if unsure.
The Met Office said snow is expected later today in the east and north east of England and on Friday in western parts of England and east Wales, adding that there could be some disruption to travel.
Tim Hewson, chief forecaster at the Met Office said: "Whilst there is uncertainty regarding where the heaviest and most persistent snow will fall, accumulations of up to about 10cm are possible in the worst affected regions. As a result there could be some disruption to travel."
