MSC Cruises names new Australasia MD
MSC Cruises has appointed a new managing director for Australasia.
Alessandro Guerreri will replace Lynne Clarke as regional MD. Clarke will become MSC Cruises’ Australasia chairman – a newly created position.
Guerreri moves from the cruise line’s HQ in Geneva to take up the role.
He was business unit director for onboard retail, casino and spa revenues.
The appointment of Guerreri underpins the line’s strong commitment to the region.
"It will ‘further strengthen relationships with the local trade to maximise together opportunities to grow the presence of local consumers to the overall guest mix,’ said Achille Staiano, MSC Cruises’ VP of global sales.
