MSC Cruises orders two new ships
MSC Cruises has inked contracts for two new ships with at Chantiers de l’Atlantique.
The deal is worth about $4 billion for two World Class series ships.
It made the announcement as MSC marked milestones for MSC World Asia, which floated out and the coin ceremony for MSC World Atlantic.
The ships, provisionally designated World Class 7 and 8, are expected to be delivered in 2030 and 2031.
“We are deeply grateful to MSC Cruises for their renewed confidence. The World Class series, now totaling eight vessels, is a testament to our teams’ expertise and to MSC’s vision,” said Laurent Castaing, GM of Chantiers de l’Atlantique.
MSC’s World Class series debuted in 2022 with MSC World Europa and MSC World America entered service earlier this year.
