Multiple bomb blasts reported in Bangkok
Several small bombs have exploded in Bangkok’s morning rush hour and there are reports other devices have been found.
At least four people were injured on Friday morning in the explosions. One bomb went off near Bangkok’s international airport and there were two further blasts near a Skytrain station in the city’s Silom business district.
Bangkok is currently hosting a regional security meeting of foreign ministers from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) along with representatives from the United States, China and Russia.
The Foreign Office (FCO) has updated its advice.
The FCO says: "There has been a report of explosions at three locations in Bangkok.
Initial information is that these have occurred at the Government Complex recreational park on Chaeng Wattana Road, near Chong Nonsi BTS (skytrain) station, and in sub-soi (side road) 57/1 of Rama 9 road in Bangkok.
"We are monitoring the situation. Please follow the advice of Thai authorities regarding the explosions."
