New airline Akasa Air targets 250 flights a week
India’s newest airline Akasa Air announced its sixth destination – Delhi.
It adds to its current route network of Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Chennai and Mumbai.
Delhi-Bengaluru and Delhi-Ahmedabad routes will begin on October 7 and Akasa is adding more daily flights on the Ahmedabad-Bengaluru route on the same date.
It hopes to ramp frequencies to 250 flights a week by early October,
The airline will shortly take delivery of its fifth aircraft.
