New airline targets business travellers only
A new airline is to launch flights between Stansted and New York offering low cost business class seats.
American carrier Maxjet Airways will begin services on November 1 and operate daily flights expect from Saturday.
Prices will start at £599 ($999) one-way, excluding taxes.
Maxjet chief executive Gary Rogliano, quoted by the BBC, said: “Maxjet was founded to bring greater value to the intercontinental market by connecting key business cities with a high quality, low-fare business class product.
“It was also designed to appeal to the savvy traveller with luxury amenities for all passengers and the highest standards for comfort, service and value.”
The airline plans to launch additional transatlantic routes and increase its Stansted frequency.
