New CEO appointed at Tourism Tropical North Queensland
Tourism Tropical North Queensland has named Mark Olsen as new chief executive.
Olsen takes over next month and joins from Brisbane Marketing where he is head of tourism and property investment.
He replaces Pip Close who leaves the post in October.
According to TTNQ Chair Wendy Morris, Olsen is no stranger to the region.
He started out on his destination management career 20 years ago as the regional manager for Tropical North Queensland at Tourism and Events Queensland.
"As General Manager of Consulting at EarthCheck from 2008-2018, Mark worked extensively with the industry in TNQ, across Australia and globally in growing aviation access, experience development, design and delivery of major investments," Morris said.
