New CIMTIG chairman named

Hoda Lacey has become chairman of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Travel Industry Group taking over from Nigel Ragg of Mark Warner Holidays.

 

Lacey, with more than 20 years experience in the travel industry, runs It’s All About People, a company providing learning and development support to travel industry management.

 

She has served on the Conservative Party tourism forum and also worked on several tourism consultancy projects in Egypt. During her career she has held positions at various travel companies, including Tjaereborg Holidays, Olympic Holidays, Magic of Italy and Magic of Spain.

 

She previously served as vice chair of the Institute of Travel & Tourism (ITT) and is a member of the Association of Women Travel Executives.

 

Lacey said: “CIMTIG has an excellent reputation for the organization of seminars that really benefit attendees. I am delighted to be taking on the role of chairman and I will be looking to further enhance the group’s professionalism during my term of office”.
