New Club Med Japan ski resort set for December opening
Club Med will open a new winter sports resort in Tomamu, Japan in December.
This ski-in, ski-out resort also offers snow trekking, snow rafting and sledging, along with an indoor heated wave pool and outdoor hot spring baths.
Parents can go out for the day and leave their children in a ‘magical’ snow garden, while teenagers can enjoy Club Med Passworld, which offers a chance to try DJ’ing and graffiti art.
The hotel has two main restaurants serving traditional Japanese food, and a Zen Bar.
Before then, Club Med opens a new French flagship ski resort next month, the 4 Trident, Grand Massif Samoens Morillion.
The 420-room resort will have direct access to two main skiing areas, the Massif and Flaine, and is located just over an hour from Geneva airport.
The openings come as Club Med reports total sales up 10% year on year and that the total winter 2017/2018 season sales have increased by 31% compared with this time last year.
It said last winter was a record season for the group with an overall 12% increase in the number of clients visiting ski resorts.
"Our customers see the value in all-inclusive ski holidays with everything included and paid for upfront. This also protects customers against ever-fluctuating exchange rates and hidden costs with the simple security of a low deposit. The 2017/2018 results to date lay strong foundations ahead of two of our most exciting ski resort openings to date," said Estelle Giraudeau, managing director of Club Med UK and Scandinavia.
