New Disney mega cruise ship to homeport in Singapore
The new Disney cruise ship purchased from Genting will have a home in Singapore from 2025.
The still unfinished mega cruise ship will accommodate around 6,000 passengers and is yet to be named.
Under a five-year agreement with the Singapore Tourism Board it will sail year-round from Singapore.
“We are incredibly excited to make Singapore the home port to our seventh-launched ship,” said Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products.
The Disney cruise ship is expected to be the largest vessel sailing from Singapore.
The homeporting agreement will add ‘millions of local and foreign cruise passengers.’
The ship is still under construction at the MV Werften shipyard.
