New execs appointed at Hawaii Tourism Authority
The Hawaii Tourism Authority has announced a number of executive changes, with Randy Baldemor appointed as chief operating officer and Marc Togashi is promoted to vice president of finance.
Long serving David Uchiyama, the HTA’s vice president of brand management is stepping down.
The management reshuffle comes soon after the appointment of George Szigeti as new president and CEO of the HTA.
Baldemor will join the HTA on June 9 while Togashi takes up the new position with immediate effect.
"I am pleased to welcome Randy to the HTA. His experience in state government and within the private sector will be a great addition to the agency. In addition, I am also pleased to announce the promotion of Marc, who has demonstrated his leadership and knowledge over the last four years," said Szigeti.
Baldemor has served in a variety of management roles with the State of Hawaii, including deputy director at the Department of Human Resources, director of strategic initiatives at the Governor’s office, and deputy chief information officer for the Office of Information Management & Technology.
He also worked in the private sector for many years and was a partner at the law firm Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel.
