New family themed resort adds to Grapevine’s allure

The impressive Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center on Lake Grapevine opened in 2004, adding 1,511 hotel rooms and 400,000 square feet of convention space to Grapevine. Grapevine currently has over 3,761 full service hotel rooms available and four other luxury hotels, the Embassy Suites Outdoor World, Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center, the Hyatt Regency DFW, and the recently opened Grand Hyatt DFW, located at the DFW Airports new International Terminal. The Great Wolf Lodge is slated to open in fall 2007. Grapevine offers over 500 mid priced and economy rooms at the Verizon Place Hotel & Conference, AmeriSuites, Baymont Inn, Comfort Suites, Hampton Inn & Suites, Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Homewood Suites, Fairfield Inn, Super 8 Motel, Garden Manor Bed & Breakfast, and the SpringHill Suites

There are 81 holes of golf within 10 15 minutes of every hotel in the city. Grapevines three golf courses are ranked among the top 50 public courses in the U.S. including one designed by Byron Nelson and one owned by the NFL Dallas Cowboys.

Texas is the fifth largest wine producing state in the nation, and Grapevine has eight wineries, each with its own distinct style and flavor, showcasing wine produced in Grapevine and from around the state. Cross Timbers Winery Tasting Room at 805 North Main is located in the historic Brock Farm opened in April 2001. In addition to its own fine wines, Cross Timbers Winery features the best of Texas Wines from across the state.
