New Grand Turk port welcomes first ship
The new Grand Turk Cruise Center received its first ship — the 1,848-passenger, Holland America Line Noordam, on her inaugural call.
The Caribbean’s newest port has a state-of-the-art pier and a 13-acre complex that includes an 800-foot-wide white sand beach, a swimming pool, cabanas, an array of retail shops and the Caribbean’s largest “Margaritaville”-themed bar and restaurant.
By the end of March, Carnival Cruise Lines Sensation will begin bi-weekly port calls to the island.
Crown Princess and Costa Cruises also plan to include Grand Turk on their itineraries, according to port officials.
Other cruise lines visiting Grand Turk this year include Crystal Cruises, Silversea Cruises, Oceania Cruises and Radisson Seven Seas.
