New holiday traditions at Skamania Lodge
Skamania Lodge, a Pacific Northwest mountain resort located 45 minutes outside of Portland, Ore. in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, celebrates the holiday season with the Home for the Holidays package available from November 24, 2006 until December 24, 2006.
The Home for the Holidays package includes overnight accommodations in a superior forest view room and guests are invited to choose their own festive, commemorative Skamania Lodge holiday decoration. Upon departure, guests and families kick off the holiday season and handpick a Douglas Fir Christmas tree or wreath from the Lodge’s tree lot to bring home.
“The Home for the Holidays package infuses relaxation with holiday fun that guests can share with the family,” said Gail Palen, marketing manager at Skamania Lodge. “We are excited to be a part of our guests’ festivities, and we hope to spread the holiday spirit with special gifts for family and friends at home.”
Skamania Lodge hosts several holiday festivities and events from Thanksgiving until New Years, including the lighting of the Skamania Lodge Christmas tree in the Gorge room; a Breakfast with Santa; Gingerbread House Making at the Lodge; and The Gift of Music performances.
