Los Angeles has a number of new hotels and family-friendly attractions this year..
Six Flags Magic Mountain in San Fernando Valley will open a new Superman ride later this month.
It will be the world’s tallest vertical drop ride, dropping 40 storeys.
Earlier this year, a Transformers attraction opened at Universal Studios Hollywood, fusing 3D-HD media, mega special effects and robotics with a revolutionary ride system.
Meanwhile, the Hotel Bel-Air on Westside has re-opened after extensive refurbishment and redesign.
In Santa Monica, The Shore Hotel is a new beachside retreat. With skate rentals, personal training and pets welcome it promises to be the "epitome of LA beach cool"
On the site of the former Pacific Sands. the hotel is across the street from the Santa Monica Pier and beach.
