InterContinental Hotels Group is adding another Thailand luxury hotel

It signed an agreement with Elysian Hotel Management Company for a new property near UNESCO World Heritage Site Khao Yai National Park in central Thailand.

InterContinental Khao Yai Swan Lake Resort will open later this year within the Swan Lake mixed use project, which is being marketed as a rural destination retreat.

It features 61 keys with signature InterContinental Resort amenities including a Club Lounge and resort centre, a swimming pool and fitness centre.

It will open initially with 45 rooms ready and will be expanded next year with unique train-car suites.

A spa, kids’ club and wedding chapel will also be added in early 2021.

It is being designed by acclaimed hospitality architect Bill Bensley.

"The signing represents the strong growth momentum of the InterContinental brand in Thailand and Southeast Asia. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Khao Yai National Park, is perfectly positioned for our guests to soak in nature and enjoy the wildlife," said Serena Lim, IHG’s VP of development for South East Asia and Korea.

IHG currently has 29 hotels open in Thailand, across six brands.
