New Ramada hotel coming to Phuket
Wyndham Hotel Group has signed a franchise agreement for a new Ramada hotel on the Thai island of Phuket.
The 270-room Ramada Plaza Chaofah Phuket is scheduled for a 2018 opening in the Muang Chaofah urban entertainment development.
The hotel will have a distinctive Straits Chinese ‘Peranakan’ design and located close to Phuket’s Peranakan district in Phuket Town.
That extends to the Thai-Nyonya style cuisine which will be offered in the all-day dining restaurant.
It will also feature a specialty rooftop restaurant, a grand ballroom catering for up to 700 guests and a fitness centre.
"We have seen great success with our Ramada brand across Southeast Asia and the Pacific Rim with 63 hotels now operating in the region. Our newest hotel in Phuket will be no exception and will offer guests an authentic experience into the heart of the destination," said Barry Robinson, Southeast Asia and Pacific Rim president.
The property is owned and developed by Southern Star Hotel Co Ltd, an affiliate of the CAS Group.
