New sales team for touring specialists
A new field sales team has been deployed by Touring specialists Insight Vacations and Trafalgar Tours as part of ambitious growth plans for 2008.
The three-strong field sales team is supported by a sales support executive and sales director Paul Melinis, who both work from the London offices of parent company The Travel Corporation.
Other group brands include youth coach operator Contiki and AAT Kings.
The new sales managers on the road are:
Stephanie Parker, covering the North: Stephanie has years of experience in the touring sector as she previously worked for Titan Travel.
Shirley Spooner, covering the Midlands and the South Coast. She previously worked in sales roles for Prestige Holidays and Complete Caribbean.
Jacqueline Pangman, covering London and the South. She used to be a tour director for Insight Vacations, primarily in Spain and Portugal.
Melinis is looking to grow sales for both brands by 15% in 2008, a target he is confident of beating thanks to strong early sales.
“Sales for Trafalgar Tours are already up 35% compared to this time last year and Insight Vacations is tracking at 10% up. Now that the new team is in place and getting out there talking to agents about our plans for the year we’ll be seeing sales soar even further,†he said.
