New service monitors total room nights
North American Journeys launched NAJ Trax, a new service that offers access to data showing the total number of room nights receptive tour operators book in selected destinations throughout the US for individuals (FIT) and groups.
“This is the first time this type of data has ever been compiled,” said NAJ President Jake Steinman.
He said the data can be used by any group that wants to understand the economic impact of tourists entering the US from foreign countries or on a city-by-city or even regional basis.
“This will be extremely useful to those whose funding depends on their ability to better track this segment of the industry,” he said.
The program should be of interest to tourism bureaus, hotels and other organizations wanting to analyze the impact of foreign tourists on the local economy.
Founded in 1992, North American Journeys’ primary focus is on marketing tourism within the US and Canada.
