New Staging Connections GM in Canberra

Andrew Shaw has been appointed to the position of General Manager Staging Connections Canberra.

Andrew has extensive knowledge of the business and its clients as he has been a trusted adviser and face for Staging Connections for government and corporate events in Canberra for over eighteen years.

Andrew brings a strong commitment to client service and a reputation for the delivery of many successful events in Canberra to his new management role. Over the years he has assisted to lift Staging Connections’ reputation as a leading force in the delivery of sophisticated, integrated audiovisual and event staging services and in doing so he has established a number of significant client partnerships.

Andrew’s career in the audio visual industry spans over twenty years from his initial work as a Technical Assistant at Canberra University through to a variety of roles at Staging Connections Canberra which have provided him with a strong foundation from which to manage the business. 

At Staging Connections Andrew has successfully managed a variety of roles including that of Audio Visual technician, in-house Technical Events Manager at the National Convention Centre, Events Service Manager at the Hyatt Canberra, Sales Manager and most recently as Assistant General Manager.

Andrew is looking forward to managing the Staging Connections Canberra business and its team of 40 event experts saying “I am really committed to the ongoing high level delivery of event services to our client base.  With the resources of our national operations we can introduce a wide range of innovative facilities and services to our local events.”
