New Surf Coaster set to debut at SeaWorld Orlando

SeaWorld Orlando’s highly anticipated new theme park coaster finally takes off this weekend.
In time for the holiday crowds, Pipeline: The Surf Coaster has its grand-opening on Saturday May 27.
It is marked with a special ceremony featuring a “beach-front” ribbon cutting, in keeping with the ride’s surfing theme.
SeaWorld has the most theme park coasters in Orlando.
SeaWorld has partnered with the Fish and Wildlife Foundation of Florida to tap into enthusiasm for the new ride to raise awareness of marine life conservation.
The Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida is a nonprofit dedicated to conserving the state’s native animals and plants and the lands and waters they need to survive.
The new themed attraction celebrates the surfing cultures around the world with an immersive surfboard ride vehicle.
It features a journey of twists and turns with five airtime movements, including a “wave curl” inversion.
Along a track spanning 2,950 feet, it has a maximum speed of 60 mph, and reaches a height of 110 feet.
The brand-new theme park coaster is located at the front of the park between Flamecraft Bar and Bayside Stadium.
