New travel job vacancies double
New travel job vacancies more than doubled in the first month of 2024, according to the latest data from C&M Travel Recruitment.
January 2024 saw a 111% rise in new travel jobs compared to December 2023 and reached the highest total for five months.
However, last month’s total remained down by 38% compared to the same month in 2023.
The volume of candidates searching for new travel jobs saw a big jump in January with an 81% increase.
It was a slower month for travel job placements with the number of people being placed in new travel jobs increasing by 4% from December.
Barbara Kolosinska, MD at C&M Travel Recruitment, said: “We would always expect to see a big monthly increase in activity each January – and last month we saw just that.”
New travel job opportunities more than doubled in the month – which is great news for job seekers – and there was also a big rise in new candidates.”
“What we need to see now is a rise in job placements.”
