New UK general manager for Singapore Airlines
Singapore Airlines has appointed Sheldon Hee as general manager for the UK and Ireland.
He replaces Wilson Yong, who is being posted back to head office in Singapore having held the role since December 2012.
Hee will be based at the Singapore Airlines London office in Chiswick.
He has been with the airline for 18 years, most recently as VP marketing communications and development.
He will lead a team of 125 employees, six reporting directly to him.
Hee will report to regional VP Europe Subhas Menon.
"2016 is set to be a big year for us as we continue to build on our four daily flights from Heathrow and our status as the longest serving long-haul carrier flying from Manchester Airport, where we currently have a daily flight, via Munich," said Hee.
"It will also be a big year for the UK, as a decision on airport expansion is now expected very soon, so I look forward to continuing Singapore Airlines’ role as a leader in this dynamic market."
